Year 1999. Access to the Internet was more of a dream. Wikipedia, which is now considered the world's largest encyclopedia, did not yet exist, and a Canon EOS D2000 camera cost $14k. Credible information was provided by books in paper form, but their topics were very limited. While traveling by train on the Wrocław - Kłodzko route, the sight of four towers towering over the forest intrigued me every time. An opportunity arose to check what the mysterious structure hid. We parked the car at the foot of the hill, on which the ruins of a palace stood. A short walk uphill and ... a fence. The most ordinary wooden fence made of slats, surrounding the building. Through a hole in the fence, we could see a huge terrace with stairs and a massive ruined palace structure. The damages visible from the outside were immense, but imagination quickly filled in the missing pieces, creating a beautiful picture. However, only when one closed their eyes. But reality left no illusions; things were bad, very bad...
Year 2024. For several years, I have been receiving information about the revitalization of the palace and its surroundings, undertaken by the Kamieniec Ząbkowicki Municipality, acquiring funds from various sources. Fueled by curiosity, we park again at the foot of the hill. After a short walk around the palace, something that seemed impossible is revealed to our eyes. As evidence of this, I am attaching a comprehensive photographic documentation.
